“La passió de Cervera”
The
perform “La passió de Cervera” will start the next eleventh of
March this year. The first session was the 12th
of
March in 1967. Since that time the success of this performance has
been notable and every year 15.000 people have seen the acting. This
performance is very prestigious because the University of Sorbonne
from Paris said that it’s one of the oldest performance in the
game. Although this performance is old, the success or relevance of
it has survived through the years.-Article number two
Popular
architecture of “La Segarra”,
images of our ethnological patrimony.
The
exposition take us to a
journey through the different type of structures or “buildings”
that compound the landscape of “ La Segarra ”. The exposition
shows us some cabins, outside walls, ponds, cisterns, wells of ice,
plaster and cement ovens, “pallisses i colomars”.
The
exposition is compound of thirty-four photographies
built in plastic structures without frame.
A nice
journey in our local museum that can show us the magnificence and
originality of our culture and tradition.

Political
A
group of 23 students in the school “Les
Savines” of Cervera has visited the town council, on Thursday 23
February, to know the functioning of the municipal administration.
The mayor, Ramon Royes, has received the students and very kindly and
educatedly he has answered questions that were asked.The
questions were raised about the functioning of local government: the
number of councillors, the mayor election process, etc. They
have also raised questions
on how personal the mayor: What do you like most about your work and
or do you like less.
The
mayor
has collected these demands and has pledged to fix what is the
responsibility of the town council and moved to other
administrations, such as the Department of Education of the
Government, what is their responsibilities.

The Sports Council of "La Segarra" way to 38 sport coaches
The
Sports Council and the County Council of “La
Segarra” have closed today at a ceremony held at the sports centre
of Cervera, sport coaches in the course which involved a total of 38
students between 14 and 21 years in the area. The course started on
23 January and has combined the theoretical sessions with the
practical sessions. The latter were carried out in Cervera sports
pavilion, where students were able to implement the theoretical
notions that have been given during the course. That’s all a good
initiative to form people who want to involve in coaching and sports.
